ConVal’s boys’ lacrosse team had a successful 11-5 season and a nice run in the Division II playoffs, and the Cougars were rewarded with several All-State selections. We checked in with head coach Terrence McNamara to break down what made ConVal’s standouts so successful this season.

Alex Heck, Senior, Defense

20 forced turnovers, 47 ground balls, 3 points. “Alex had a unique talent for getting the ball out of his opponents stick, and getting it up the field.”

Ronan Mcnamara, sophomore, attack

57 goals, 22 assists, 79 points. “An explosive offensive player who is difficult to stop, often requiring double or triple teams from opponents.”

Bryson Boice, junior, defense

“Our No. 1 cover defenseman, including covering several Division I-committed players with poise.”

Noah Stewart, junior, long stick midfield

“In addition to his excellent defensive and transition skills, was also a frequent threat shooting in transition and had a man-up goal against Kingswood.”

Kell McMahon, sophomore, midfie ld

“Our starting faceoff midfielder, and also a left-handed threat on offense.”

Cody Siegel, junior, midfield

“Also a major contributor on faceoffs, had tireless work ethic on the field, and was equally valuable on offense and defense at the midfield position.”
