ConVal student art on display at Peterborough Town Library

The Peterborough Town Library, 2 Concord St., is hosting an exhibition of artwork made by ConVal High School students during May.

“A Work in Motion” will feature mixed media created by 29 students in KarrieMitschmyer’s art classes: Brian Alonso, Hazel Armstrong, Hadley Bates, Wyatt Beaulieu, Eric Bergeron, Sophia Bohl, Ava Brening, McKenna Coull, Monika Craven, Ashley Cronin, Nicole Davison, Jaz Davison, Addison Dodge, Maggie Fry, Edgar Gonzales, Wubalem Harrison, Riley Heider, Dakota Horton, Austin Klonel, Alex Laurie, MikalaMackesy, Zadie Marshall, Rowan McClusky, Willow Middleton, Zoe Nevers-Hiers, LeighaPsiras, Keegan Ross, GesuSaidova and InayaVaidya. 

The opening reception will be held on First Friday, May 5, from 5 to 7 p.m.. This exhibition is running in conjunction with the Children and the Arts Festival on May 20 and is based around the 2023 theme: “Things That Go VROOM!” The artwork will be on display from Friday, April 28 to Wednesday, May 31. 

The week before the Children and the Arts Festival, the library will also have artwork on display in the Elizabeth Room. These pieces will be a collaborative art project between ConVal High School art students and Peterborough Elementary School third-graders. 

All are welcome to view the exhibits during regular library hours. The PTL Community Art Gallery is a regional public art space which provides exhibition opportunities for students, emerging artists and the community.
