ConVal track and field takes second, third at Souhegan

In a four-team meet hosted by Souhegan on April 30, ConVal’s boys finished in second place with 84 points, just two points behind Souhegan and beating John Stark’s 71 points and Manchester West’s 20 points.

The girls’ team finished third with 52 points, behind Souhegan’s 82 and John Stark’s 63, and ahead of Manchester West’s 29 points.

Kendrick Edwards won the boys’ 100-meter dash in 11.59 seconds, while Anthony Cadwallader finished second in 11.77 seconds.

Edwards, Cadwallader, Elliot Featherstone and Jack Harris won the 4x100-meter relay in 44.91 seconds. Harris also won the javelin, throwing 122-feet, 3-inches. He finished second in the pole vault with a 10-foot, 7-inch jump. Anthony Cadwallader finished third with a 24.29-second 200-meter run as well as second in the high jump with a 5-foot, 4-inch jump.

Jamie Post finished second in the 110-meter hurdles in 17.62 seconds and second in the 300-meter hurdles in 44.73 seconds. He achieved a third-place finish in the triple jump, with a 35-foot, 11-inch performance.

Josh Decker finished third in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 11:18.49.

Sam Davis finished second in the javelin, with a throw of 114-feet, 7-inches.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Griffin Schultz, Post, Davis and William Simard took third place in 3:46.81.

In discus, Morly Johnson won the event with a 109-foot, 11-inch throw, and Maxx Telofski finished second with 108-feet, 8-inches. In shot put, Roman Cadwallader finished second with a 42-foot, 5-inch throw and Telofski finished third with a 39-foot, 2-inch throw.

For the girls, Tasha MacNeil led the way by winning three events: the 100-meter dash in 13.15 seconds, the javelin with a throw of 100-feet, 9-inches and the shot put with a 28-foot, 10-inch throw. MacNeil also paced the girls’ 4x100-meter dash team to a second-place finish in a time of 56.95 seconds.

Aida Davis won two events, the 200-meter dash in 29.04 seconds and the 400-meter dash in 1 minute, 6.13 seconds. Davis was also part of the 4x100-meter relay team and the 4x400-meter relay team that finished third in 5:04.95.

Other members of the 4x100 team were Maisie Michaud and Whitney Adair. Davis and Adair, along with Alia Dodge and Sara Mackie, made up the 4x400-meter relay team. Adair finished second in the 800-meter run, in 2:41.60.

Also on the track, Liza Petrov finished third in the 1,600-meter run in 7:31.73.

Jennae DeShane finished second in the discus, with a throw of 76 feet.
