The Conant High School Interact Club recently traveled to the Dominican Republic to complete a service trip in La Romana.

Eight students, along with three adult advisers, spent a week helping to redo floors and paint murals at the FUCPE school in one of the poorest communities in La Romana. The students also worked with the children at the school, singing and playing and teaching them English.

The trip was the culminating activity of a year-long campaign and collaboration with FNE International to raise funds and collect supplies to help beautify the school.  For information about FUCPE or FNE International and how to support their work, visit fneinternational.org.
