Letter: ConVal board members should resign

Published: 03-26-2024 12:19 PM

The vote is in, and the ConVal School Board’s proposal failed to get even 46%.

The reasons why it failed are obvious. Many thoughtful members of our communities have pointed them out in detail. Board members should be ashamed of the turmoil they put our towns through and the increased divisiveness you have created throughout the ConVal district. I am calling now on School Board members who voted for the proposal to resign immediately.

Why? I am skeptical that they will be able to start fresh to analyze the problems of the sustainability of the ConVal model. Their credibility is gone. Let our towns appoint new people to replace them, preferably people with budgeting, management and analytical skills. Give the district a fresh start.
