The Del Rossi's Trattoria Italian restaurant in Dublin has announced new ownership and some upcoming changes, including expanded hours, and the reintroduction of live music.

According to a press release, Monadnock residents Bill O’Mahony and Wayne Asbury have purchased the restaurant from Elaina and David Del Rossi, who founded the restaurant more than 34 years ago.

“Thank you for supporting us all these years,” stated David Del Rossi. “Musicians say you couldn’t do it without your fans. Our clients were like family to us. This place meant a lot to a lot of people – from rehearsal dinners to live music nights. People would bring their kids and those same kids would come back by themselves as they got older.”

Del Rossi continued, “Our clients really understood that, for personal reasons, we needed to sell and pass the restaurant on and they stuck with us. We are so thankful for them. Bill and Wayne are a fit. They are family-oriented and musicians just like we were. They don’t want to turn the whole thing upside down and we are all fully involved in the transition. I’m showing them what we’ve done in the kitchen and they fit right in. We have a very loyal staff that have been with us a very long time, and they love them.”

O’Mahony, a father of two, was the musical director at the The Well School in Peterborough, as well as a math teacher and soccer coach.

““We are very excited to be the new owners of Del Rossi’s Trattoria,” he stated ”We both have a fiery passion for Italian food and we are going to build Del Rossi’s Trattoria  on everything that David and Elaina have done and simply find small ways to improve, bringing some great energy and music, and expand our opening hours so more people can enjoy it.”

Asbury, also a father of two, is a professional actor and musician and has been in several performances throughout New England.

“We are extremely excited to introduce a daily dose of live music to the restaurant and bar experience to create a more-festive atmosphere,” he stated. “The Monadnock region and Del Rossi’s have a rich culture of live music and we plan on bringing it back in a big way. Great music and delicious Italian food brings people together. Del Rossi’s Trattoria aims to be at the center of all that.”

Under the new ownership, Del Rossi's Trattoria will be open two additional nights aweek, adding Thursday and Monday to its regular operating schedule of Friday to Sunday. Dinner hours will also be expanded from 5 to 9 p.m. (4 to 9 p.m. on Sunday), in addition to a late-night menu from 9 to 11 p.m. The restaurant will be offering a new lunch menu in the near future..

Del Rossi’s will continue its regular opening hours until further notice. A soft reopening with updated menus, hours and live music will be announced on delrossistrattoria.com and social media. The restaurant is at  73 Brush Brook Road in Dublin. For information, visit the restaurant’s website or call 603-563-7195.
