Two new documentaries, “Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story” and “My Name is Alfred Hitchcock,” will debut at The Park Theatre, located at 19 Main St. in Jaffrey, Friday, Nov. 8, with screenings continuing through Nov. 14.

“Super/Man” chronicles the life of Christopher Reeve, exploring his rise from an unknown actor to a movie star through his portrayal of Superman in four films. The documentary also details his advocacy for spinal cord injury research and disability rights following a horse-riding accident that left him paralyzed.

“My Name is Alfred Hitchcock” examines the legacy of the filmmaker, who transformed the thriller genre with classics like “Psycho” and “Rear Window.” The film features Hitchcock’s voice, mimicked by actor Alistair McGowan, as he reflects on his body of work.
