Dr. Marc Winiecki of Jaffrey has opened a new family practice, Monad Doc Health Direct in downtown Jaffrey.
Formerly, Winiecki spent 15 years at Jaffrey Family Medicine, a satellite of Monadnock Community Hospital.
Located at 22 North St., Winiecki’s practice offers primary care that provides nearly open access for patients. New patients are welcome -- adults, parents and children of all ages, infant to geriatric.
“I’m really excited about this new chapter,” he stated. “Hanging a shingle and serving our community with the best service we can produce has been a dream of mine for a long time. This is why I became a doctor. Taking the phone call, seeing patients when they are most in need, spending time with them to achieve the best outcomes; no rushing through appointments. It’s great!”
Monad Doc Health Direct has a business model called Direct Primary Care, intended to remove the barriers and impediments caused by the insurance-based system. Monad Doc does not take insurance, and operates on a membership model.
Membership includes acute visits with the doctor whenever one needs it, chronic care management and risk reduction, physicals at any age, vaccines, blood draws and labs, strep, COVID, flu, RSV, urine and pap tests, cryotherapy for warts, skin biopsy, wound repair, splinting and toenail management. Monad Doc provides antibiotics, steroids, cough suppressants, muscle relaxers, antidepressants, antihistamines and more in order to avoid a trip to the pharmacy.
Winiecki works to infuse his practice with a holistic approach to the mind, body and spirit. He offers osteopathic manipulation treatment and prolotherapy, a regenerative orthopedic injection treatment, for an additional fee.
Monad Doc will limit the number of patients it enrolls in an attempt to keep quality and access high. In addition, Winiecki will hold after-hours talks and support groups he’s calling “Doc Talks.” Topics include weight loss, anxiety, smoking, bereavement, cancer survivors, caring for the caregiver and more as the need arises.
