McGettigan & Gilbert is the featured artist at the DubHub hosts a combined coffee house and open mic from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. June 15.
A monthly sponsor provides the coffee, and sweet and savory snacks are available. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own beverages. A featured performance takes place for about 45 to 60 minutes, with open mic slots available both prior and after.
Singer-songwriter Suzanne McGettigan, a New Hampshire native, composes songs of love and life with a touch of humor. Her song “A Place in the Woods” was recorded by Canadian artist Lucie Blue Tremblay on her album “Transformations.” Based just north of Boston, guitarist Larry Gilbert has been a New England staple, known for blending guitar techniques with interpretations in many different genres. Together, they create originals and put their own twist on cover tunes.
Send email to info@dublincommunitycenter.org to reserve a spot on the open mic sign-up, or just show up that evening to try finding an available spot on the list. A suggested donation starting at $5 (or more) can be given at the door to help offset costs, and a hat will be passed during the performance for contributions to the featured performer(s).
