Dublin Public Library reopens after staff shortages

Dublin Public Library, 1114 Main St., reopens this week after being closed due to staff shortages.

The new fall hours are Monday and Wednesday noon to 3 p.m, Thursday 3  to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.. The library will be staffed by temporary circulation librarian VolkertVolkersz, volunteers from the library board and members of the community.

Prior to serving five years as program coordinator for the Dublin Community Center (the DubHub), Volkersz spent 28 years as a school librarian in Washington state at both the elementary and high school levels. While in college, he was student manager of the music library at Western Washington University.

The trustees of the Dublin Public Library continue to search for a permanent library director, as well as library assistants. For information, go to dublinnhpubliclibrary.org
