Dublin police officer Brandon Blair was awarded the rank of master patrolman in a ceremony held Monday.

Blair has been a full-time police officer since 2016, and joined the Dublin Police Department in October of 2019, according to Dublin Police Chief Tim Suokko.

“Over the years, Master Patrolman Blair has completed numerous advanced trainings and has applied that knowledge and skill to his patrol duties. His dedication to the community is shown through the relationships he has built with the citizens, employees, departments and organizations that are the fabric of this town,” Suokko said. “I wish him continued success as he continues his journey as an integral member of our department.”

A master patrolman has additional duties beyond a patrol officer, including coaching or training new officers in the department.
