DubHub names photography contest winners

Dublin Community Center hosted a smartphone photo contest for those who live or work in Dublin.

Each entrant was allowed to enter up to three photos taken between December 2022 and December 2023 of a person, place, detail or event anywhere in the Monadnock region.

All entries have been printed by contest sponsor Peterborough Camera, Copies & More in Peterborough, and are on display at the DubHub during January. After judging took place by photographer Brie Morrissey, artist Linda Greenwood and Center Director Monica Laskey, the contest winners were announced at the opening reception on Jan. 12.

In the Places category, first place went to “Garlic Crop,” by Mary Loftis. Honorable Mention went to “Dublin Spring,” by Bethany Paquin.

In the People category, “Fearless,” by Julie Rizzo, won first place, and Honorable Mention went to “Pool Party,” by Paul Tuller.

In the Details category, “Rusting in the Back Woods,” by Ruth Thompson, won first place. Honorable Mention went to “Dragonfly on Jack,” by Ruth Thompson.

In the Events category, “Sunrise Over Howe’s Reservoir,” by Anne Marie Warren, won first place. “Pink Ice,” by Nancy Cayford, earned Honorable Mention.

In the Student category, “Water Fire,” by Jillian Russo, won first place.
