One person dies in Greenfield crash Monday morning

One person was killed in a motor vehicle accident early Monday morning in Greenfield. The accident occurred at approximately 5:17 a.m. 

Greenfield emergency services assisted New Hampshire State Police Troop B in responding to the scene of the accident. A spokesperson for the Greenfield Fire Department said the accident was a rollover, with one car involved, and that the driver of the car was found dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved. 

The accident occurred on Route 31, just north of the entrance to East Road. Route 31 was closed for more than three hours while the scene was cleared and cars were diverted around Slip Road and Zephyr Lake Road. The Greenfield Fire Department assisted in directing traffic until the scene was cleared. 

As of Monday morning, no other details were available, and the name of the victim had not been released. Anyone with information should call New Hampshire State Police Troop B at 603-666-3334.
