We're looking for Around Town contributors

Thursday, September 07, 2017 7:15AM

In every one of our towns, there’s someone who knows most everybody and everything. You know who you are. If you don’t, then you know who we’re talking about.

Connected and community-minded, this person knows what’s happening in town, what people are talking about and what they care about.

If that sounds like you, or someone you know, then we’d love to talk to you (or them).

We’re putting together a new weekly page called Around Town and looking for a person or people from each of our towns to contribute about 200 words of well, whatever you most want to read about. It might be about a resident’s accomplishments, upcoming town events or community gatherings. Think of it as the information you’d share with your neighbors. There’s no script, no perfect form. You can make it what you’d like it to be. Your neighbors will appreciate it, and so will we.

We’re looking for happenings from Antrim, Bennington, Dublin, Francestown, Greenfield, Greenville, Hancock, Jaffrey, Lyndeborough, Mason, New Ipswich, Peterborough, Rindge, Sharon, Temple and Wilton.

If you’re interested in being a town news contributor and sharing what you gather with the rest of our readers, then send editor Tony Marquis an email at news@ledgertranscript.com.

The rewards are modest, a byline and photo, gratitude and a voice in helping to make the Ledger-Transcript what you want it to be.
