Electric Earth Concerts presents “Performer Portrait: Gabriela Diaz” Sunday, May 1, at 4 p.m. o’clock at the First Church in Jaffrey, 14 Laban Ainsworth Way.
Boston-based violinist Gabriela Diaz will curate a concert that includes works by William Grant Still, Florence Price, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Coleridge Taylor-Perkinson and DBR. Her recording of Lou Harrison’s “Suite for Violin and American Gamelan” was highlighted in the New York Times article “5 Minutes That Will Make You Love Classical Music.” To hear samples of her work, go to gabrieladiazviolin.com/media.
She will be joined by pianist Andrew Armstrong, who has performed across Asia, Europe, Latin America, Canada and the United States.
