Produced and filmed in Peterborough, "Dinner Time," a Firelight Theatre Workshop production, will kick off its tour Friday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. at Peterborough Community Theatre, 6 School St.
Before the screening, audience members can have cocktails and small plates prepared by chef Laura Carden, who also wrote and directed the film. "Dinner Time" unfolds as a couple welcomes friends to their home. It's an old-fashioned dinner party, where wine and food set the table for hours of conversation.
Eight additional November screenings are scheduled at Peterborough Community Theatre, Wilton's Town Hall Theatre and Firelight Theatre. All screenings will include a talkback with cast and crew. Two are masks-mandatory events.
In addition to Nov. 3, Peterborough Community Theatre will present “Dinner Time” Nov. 10 and 17 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 12 (masked) at 11 a.m. The Wilton Town Hall Theatre screening is Nov. 5 at 5 p.m. (masked). Firelight Theatre screenings are Nov. 4, 9, 18 and 19, all at 7 p.m.
Tickets are available online at tickettailor.com/events/firelighttheatreworkshop or cash at the door. Tickets $25, $20 for members for in-person or streaming. All screenings include a dinner party offering, from cocktail hours to potlucks. Even those who choose to stream at home will receive suggested menus and a full dinner party guide with their ticket purchase.
