Firelight Theatre Workshop, located in Peterborough, will present its next live episode of “We Were Friends” at 3 School St. in Hancock.

The show runs Friday to Sunday, Oct. 20 to 22 and Thursday to Saturday, Oct. 26 to 28, at 7 p.m.

Starring Firelight founders, Nora Fiffer and Jason Lambert, and co-written with Henry Walters, this is the 11th act of their 12-part episodic play that explores the 14-year friendship of Margaret Fuller and Ralph Waldo Emerson – set in today’s world.

Firelight considers the location of each show as important as the characters. In this installment, Firelight invites audiences to imagine they are at modern-day Emerson’s house. Guests will be outdoors, looking in at Emerson tinkering in his garage. Fuller, a social activist and journalist, is visiting her new friend Emerson. In this episode, they are in the early stages of their relationship. They are just friends. It’s late at night. They are alone.

Tickets are limited; attendees are encouraged to dress in layers and bring a blanket. Warm drinks will be served.

Tickets are $15, $12 for Firelight members. Purchase at tickettailor.com/events/firelighttheatreworkshop or pay cash or check at the door.
