Peterborough First Friday is May 3

First Friday will take place in downtown Peterborough May 3 from 5 to 7 p.m.

 The event will include a live musical performance by Get Up and Dance, along with the Monadnock Mavericks line dancers from 5 to 6 p.m. Firelight Theatre’s spring play, “Assisted Living,” will be showing. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. at 70 Main St., No. 204, rear second floor entrance.

MacDowell Downtown will be at Bass Hall at the Monadnock Center for History and Culture on Grove Street, featuring a presentation from experimental filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist Ana Armengod. Doors open at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Peterborough Players interim Artistic Director Charles Morey will discuss this summer's theatrical offerings at Mariposa Museum.

Peterborough Public Library is hosting an art opening in the Community Art Gallery in honor of the Children and The Arts - Birds of a Feather theme. The exhibition is titled “No Egrets - Artwork by a Flock of ConVal High School Students.”

PREP (Peterborough Renewable Energy Project) will be next to the Town House with information on how to save energy. Fire Station Building Committee members will also be on hand to discuss the new fire station project with visuals and brochures, and the current fire station will be open for tours.
