Flags to be placed in Peterborough cemeteries May 26

On May 26, flags and medallions will be placed in eight Peterborough cemeteries.

South Meadow School is going to help with their history teacher Sean Driscoll. The students learn about the different wars by looking for headstones to place the flags. Band director Ed Lowy and a student will play “Taps” at each cemetery. The bus will be at South Meadow School at 8:30 a.m., and the first cemetery will be the old St. Peter’s Cemetery on Vine Street. There are more than 800 flags to put out, and volunteers are needed.
