Bass Hal in Peterborough hosting ‘Folk for Folks’

A benefit concert, “Folk for Folks,” will be held Friday, Nov. 8, at 6:30 p.m. at Bass Hall in the Center for Monadnock Culture and History, 19 Grove St., Peterborough. Suggested donation is $10, though no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

The concert will feature local musicians from the Monadnock region, including Marybeth Hallinan (piano and vocals), Seth Chatfield (guitar and vocals), Garrett Cameron and Nat Backes (multi-instrumentalists), Caitlin Wilder (guitar and vocals) and Sé Brown and Bek Zehr (piano, guitar, vocals). The evening’s music will range from Celtic and contra dance styles to original compositions and popular cover songs.

“Folk for Folks” benefits the New Hampshire Mutual Aid Relief Fund (NHMARF), supporting grassroots organizations that focus on community and care. For information, contact Marybeth Hallinan at 603-924-9527 or keysofmb@gmail.com.
