Franklin Pierce University held a ribbon-cutting of its new academic center in Round Rock, Texas, Feb. 18.

The Round Rock Academic Center serves as the hub for Franklin Pierce’s hybrid Texas master of physician assistant studies (MPAS) program, which combines online learning with in-person experiences. The immersive weeks in Texas provide an opportunity for students to refine their skills, collaborate with faculty and engage in hands-on experiences.

“This new academic center is a testament to Franklin Pierce University’s dedication to advancing health care education and meeting the growing demand for skilled healthcare professionals,” stated university President Peter Eden. “By providing a flexible, high-quality program, we are not only supporting the career aspirations of our students but also addressing the health care needs of communities across the country.”

The event featured remarks from Eden, Program Director Joseph Hlavin and Round Rock Chamber of Commerce President Jordan Robinson. Attendees had the opportunity to tour the facility and speak with students.

“The Round Rock Academic Center is an important milestone in our journey to educate future physician assistants,” stated Hlavin. “Our hybrid approach allows students to balance their education with their personal and professional responsibilities while ensuring they receive the hands-on training necessary to excel in their careers.”
