Halloween fundraiser dance for Pearly Pond Dam in Rindge is Oct. 19

The Pearly Pond Association of Rindge is hosting “Boo Fest,” a Halloween dance and fundraising event on Saturday, Oct. 19.

The event is scheduled from 7 to 11 p.m. at the VFW at 12 Hathorn Road in Jaffrey. The event is adults-only, and will feature an evening of live music and dancing with The Lake Effect Band. Food will be provided by Phoenix Smokehouse. Boxes of  pulled pork and chicken sandwiches with coleslaw and chips will be available for purchase throughout the evening, along with a cash bar and desserts and treats. In addition, a selection of raffle items and amazing baskets will be available.

Costumes are encouraged but not required, and prizes will be awarded for the best-dressed ghouls and goblins. Tickets are $20 per adult and may be purchased at the door that evening or by check made payable to the Pearly Pond Association, PO Box 642, Rindge, NH 03461. Mail requests must be received by Oct. 10 and these tickets may be called for at the door the night of the event.

Pearly Pond, located in Rindge, is a 192-acre warm water lake with the campus of Franklin Pierce University sharing the northeast shoreline of the lake. The proceeds from this event will go towards preserving and maintaining the lake’s dam, which was originally completed in 1935 and modified in 1999.
