Bixby Library in Francestown hosting talk on native plants

UNH Extension Master Gardener Sheila Steele will present “Native Plants in New England Gardens” on Wednesday, May 14, at 6 p.m. at the George Holmes Bixby Memorial Library, 52 Main St., Francestown.

The talk will cover what native plants are, their ecological importance and how to incorporate them into home landscapes. Steele will show photos of native plants suited for different growing conditions, provide examples of native gardens and offer tips on sourcing and using native plants effectively. A question-and-answer session will follow.
