Grand Monadnock Youth Choirs are accepting registration for singers in grades kindergarten through eighth grade for GMYC ensembles in the 2023-24 performance year, and to schedule an audition in the Cecelia Ensemble for singers in high school.

This fall, GMYC Artistic Director Esther Rhoades returns after traveling to England with the Delaware Choral Scholars. She joined DCS to participate in an international choral competition in Wales, and under the leadership of Paul Head, the choir won first in its category.

This year, the Choristers and Elm City Singers, under Rhoades’ direction, will take part in a choral exchange with Boston City Singers. GMYC is planning this collaborative exchange in Boston for middle school-aged choirs in spring 2024.

Rise Up will offer fall, winter and spring sessions in both Keene and Peterborough for children in kindergarten through third grade. This year’s Rise Up singers will be invited to perform at Children and the Arts 2024.

The Cecilia Ensemble performs sacred and secular, medieval to modern, classical, folk, gospel and non-traditional modern music in English and foreign languages. The Cecilia Ensemble takes an international concert tour every other year, and the next tour will be in France in April 2025.
