The Greenfield Conservation Commission is sponsoring "Landscape Impacts in New Hampshire: from the Glaciation to the Present" on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m. at Stephenson Memorial Library, 761 Forest Road.

The free program is open to adults and children. Mike Gagnon, an extension forester and field specialist in natural resources for the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension, will discuss how New Hampshire’s forests and wildlife communities have been shaped by factors such as climate, weather, topography and soil over the past 10,000 years. Gagnon will also explore how land use and natural and manmade changes have influenced the region’s ecology.
