Greenfield Oktoberfest is Sept. 28

The Friends of the Greenfield Meetinghouse will host their annual Oktoberfest Saturday, Sept. 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Oak Park, 971 Forest Road in Greenfield.

Due to the start of construction on the Greenfield Meetinghouse, this year’s event will be held at Oak Park, which is a carry-in, carry-out facility with free parking. All profits will support the meetinghouse repair and renovation project.

Tickets are on sale for this family event. Online prices are $25 for adults 21 and older, and $15 for those under 21. At the event, tickets will be $30 for adults 21 and older, and $20 for those under 21. Purchase tickets at greenfieldmeetinghouse.org/events.

Admission includes two drink vouchers, a commemorative glass and a German-style Oktoberfest dinner. Note that tickets for those under 21 do not include drink vouchers or a commemorative glass.

Breweries featured at the event include Henniker Brewing, Mountain Base Brewery, Frogg Brewing, Hornburg Brewing Company, Post and Beam Brewing, Summit Winery, Cabana Falls Winery and PinguinMeads.

Entertainment will feature live music by The FitzMurphys and The Pop Farmers. The Greenfield Farmers’ Market will have food and craft vendors, and the Monadnock 4-H Robotics Club will present a robotics demonstration.

A raffle for a full cord of hardwood will be held, with tickets available at the event for $5. The winner must reside within 30 miles of Greenfield.

The Friends of the Greenfield Community Meetinghouse is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds for the restoration and ongoing preservation of the historic Greenfield Meetinghouse.
