hancockSummer Concert Series opens June 26

The Hancock Summer Concert Series will open Thursday, June 26, with a free performance by Susie Burke and Kent Allyn from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the town common.

Burke and Allyn, longtime musical collaborators, will perform a mix of folk, American Songbook classics and original songs. The duo has performed together for more than 30 years, both as a pair and with Burke’s late husband, David Surette. Their set features vocals, guitar, piano and bass.

In case of rain, the concert will move downstairs to the Meetinghouse.

The Hancock Farmers and Artisans Market will also be on the common from 4 to 7 p.m., with food, beverages, baked goods, produce and crafts available.
