Hancock resident and certified Medicare counselor Sue MacKillop will guide attendees through Medicare’s open enrollment Thursday, Sept. 7, at 7 p.m. in the Daniels Room of Hancock Town Library, 25 Main St.

Open enrollment is Oct. 15 to Dec 7. Every year, approximately 75% of prescription drug plan enrollees experience savings by switching from their current year’s plan to a new one for coming year. MacKillop will show people how to discover on their own if they can save money.

For the past eight years, MacKillop has gone through the Medicare certification process annually, earning her the title of certified SHIP (State Health Insurance Assistance Program) counselor so she can provide unbiased Medicare counseling anywhere in the United States.

The presentation is free and open to all.
