Friends of the Hancock Town Library hosting book sale

The annual Friends of the Hancock Town Library Book Sale begins Friday, Aug. 16.

The Early Bird Book Sale is Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. It is free to Friends members, $15 for non-members. The Friends are not accepting any more books mid-September.

The sale Saturday Aug. 17, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. is free for all. Books are $2 for hardbacks, $1 for trade paperbacks and 50 cents for mass market paperbacks. There are also CDs and DVDs, as well as jigsaw puzzles.

On Sunday Aug. 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., books are $5 per bag.

From Monday Aug. 19, through Thursday, Aug. 22, the book sale continues during library hours of 2 to 6 p.m. Monday and Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. On Thursday, all books are free until 6 p.m.

Hancock Town Library is at 25 Main St.
