On Tuesday morning, parents and bundled-up babies explored the outdoors around the Harris Center for Conservation Education in Hancock during one of the organization’s Babies in Backpacks and Toddlers in Tow events.

Led by Community Programs Director and teacher-naturalist Susie Spikol and teacher-naturalist Nikko Gagnon, attendees walked around the Harris Center, found animal tracks, called to birds, learned about nature and chatted about their children.

Parent educators from The Grapevine and The River Center often help lead the events, which occur once or twice a month at locations around the Monadnock region. Babies in Backpacks and Toddlers in Tow events are listed on the Harris Center website, harriscenter.org/events. People interested in attending should register online.
