High Mowing School held its annual May Day Festival Saturday.

Students participated in several traditional festivities, including Morris dancing, a skit banishing King and Queen Winter and welcoming in spring, concluding with a maypole dance.

Members of the Flying Gravity Circus, a nonprofit youth circus program in part founded by High Mowing instructor Jon Roitman, also demonstrated several of their acts, which will be on full display at their upcoming show, โ€œFrom There to Here to There,โ€ at the Amato Performing Arts Center in Milford on May 10 and 11.ย
