The Conant golf team nearly doubled their scoring output from their first match in Thursday’s win over Campbell, Stevens and Belmont at Canterbury Woods.

Led by Hayden Ketola’s 19, Conant scored 59 points, beating Stevens (57), Belmont (55) and Campbell (51).

Preston Kirby scored 17; Jeno Saari scored 13; Chloe Vaillancourt had 10; Connor Hart put up seven and Jacob DiPasquale added four points.

Conant plays at Fall Mountain Monday and then hosts Bishop Brady, Sanborn and Derryfield on Thursday.

ConVal scored its second-highest total points of this season on Thursday, but finished a distant fourth to the three strongest teams they have played so far, said head coach Mike Young. 

Pelham won the match with 76 points; Sanborn had 69 and Somersworth 49, leaving ConVal in fourth with 32.

Max Heck was CV’s best with 11 points, his highest total this season, and everyone on the team scored.

ConVal is now 4-5 after its first three matches.

The Cougars are at Bishop Brady Monday and then host Fall Mountain, John Stark and Stevens at Crotched Mountain on Thursday.
