GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Conant 39, Gilford 20

The Orioles won their road rematch with Gilford Monday night behind 16 points from Brynn Rautiola and 13 from Emma Tenters. After beating Hillsboro-Deering 63-31 Tuesday, Conant is now 14-0 on the season with a pair of road games coming up next. The Orioles are at Campbell (5-8) Friday and at Concord Christian (14-1) Monday. 

Hinsdale 41, WLC 36

WLC played a really good game against a top team in Division IV Tuesday night, coach Tom Crowley said, as the Warriors were up 22-15 at halftime behind some excellent halfcourt defense. Senior Bri Fish led WLC with 13 points.

WLC (5-8) was set to play Holy Family Wednesday after press time and host Pittsfield Monday.

Joe Gutwein went off Tuesday night, dropping a rare 40-piece on Sanborn in ConVal’s eighth win of the season. Noah Stewart added 12 points. 

ConVal (8-3) hosts Hollis-Brookline (1-11) Friday. 

Mascenic 74, Holy Family 73

Dylan Barthel came up big on Monday for the Vikings, scoring a game-high 34 as Mascenic knocked off a good Holy Family team by one. Joe Cocozella had 23 of his own in the win. 

Mascenic (6-4) was set to host Derryfield Wednesday after press time and Concord Christian on Friday.
