Jaffrey Grade School’s student council presented a $210 check to the Monadnock Adult Care Center in Jaffrey on Monday afternoon.

The students raised the money through bake sales for the nonprofit organization.

“This has been the highlight of our year,” said Patty Long, a third grade teacher at Jaffrey Grade School.

Long’s class has been visiting the adult care center monthly over the year, playing bingo and other games with those at the center.

“This means so much to us, especially since it came from you guys,” said Monadnock Adult Care Center Administrator Christine Selmer.

“I hope you continue to take the time to volunteer as adults.”
