Letter: Thanks from MLK committee

The Jaffrey-Rindge MLK Committee thanks those who contributed to this year’s “Celebrating Martin Luther King Jr.” commemoration.

Thanks to chorus directors Kerri McCormack and Kristi Delgado and their school choirs for their stirring performances, keynote speaker Aaron Mair, who connected the dots between the civil rights and conservation movements and environmental justice; and JRMS sixth-grade teachers Shauna Smith and Erica Jordan and students who shared their environmental justice projects.

KLeaderDesign and Savron Graphics provided services for our flyer and program guide. We could not have gotten our message out without Facebook management by John Sepe Social Media. We thank United Church of Jaffrey pastor Mark Koyama for an inspired invocation and Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary Interact Club volunteers for ringing the church’s bell to herald the event.

We appreciate the Community Center of Jaffrey, New Hampshire Charitable Foundation’s Putnam Foundation, Jaffrey-Rindge Rotary, M&T Bank and Hannaford Supermarket for funding. We also thank hospitality volunteers and Dunkin’ in Jaffrey, Rotary Interact volunteers and Park Theatre staff for their assistance.
