Jaffrey crash sends vehicle into porch of River Street residence

A two-car crash on River Street in Jaffrey hit the porch of a residence on Wednesday evening.

At 5:54 p.m., police were notified of a two-car crash on River Street and the School Street intersection. 

Upon arrival, and after on-scene investigation, police determined that a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe, driven by Elie Mulhonda, age 24, of Rindge, had been stopped at the stop sign on School Street. 

 At the same time, a 2020 Toyota Tacoma, driven by Ronald Black, age 34, of Jaffrey was traveling south on River Street.

Mulhonda pulled out onto River Street without properly checking for oncoming traffic, and Black was unable to stop in time, before his vehicle collided with the driver’s side door of Mulhonda’s vehicle. 

The force of the collision send Mulhonda’s vehicle into the porch of a residence on River Street,  damaging the porch. 

Both vehicles were be towed from the scene. Both Mulhonda and Black declined to be taken to the hospital.
