The Friends of the Jaffrey Library have canceled their regular book donation event scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 14, due to the Scarecrows on the Common festival. Instead, donations will be accepted on Saturday, Nov. 9, and Saturday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Bean Room on the library's main floor.

Donors can bring up to 20 gently used books in good condition. Books with writing, tears or stains will not be accepted. Volunteers will screen donations for potential inclusion in ongoing book sales.

These Saturdays are the only times book donations will be accepted. Donors are asked not to leave books with library staff or in the outside book drop.
