The Friends of the Jaffrey Library will accept book donations Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Bean Room on the main level of the Jaffrey Public Library.
Volunteers will screen gently used books for the group’s ongoing book sales. Accepted books should be clean, with no writing, stains or torn pages. The group welcomes recent fiction including novels and mysteries, as well as newer nonfiction. Items not accepted include magazines, encyclopedias, textbooks, travel guides and books on medicine, finance or computers.
Book sale shelves are located on both the main and lower levels of the library and are refreshed weekly. Proceeds support a variety of library programs and services.
Book donations are accepted only during the monthly second Saturday events. Donors are asked not to leave items with library staff or in the outside book drop.
The Friends will also have a table with books and reading recommendations at the Team Jaffrey Farmers Market, which begins Friday, May 30, from 3 to 6 p.m.
