On Wednesday night, Route 101 in Dublin was shut down to one lane for about an hour as rescue crews worked to recover a 2019 Jaguar that had left the roadway and struck a tree.

Dublin Police Chief Timothy Suokko reported that the Jaguar was operated by 44-year-old Christina MacLeod of Windham. who was driving east downhill on Main Street where a 2015 BMW was stopped waiting to make a left hand turn. Due to the slick roadway, Suokko said MacLeod  was unable to stop behind the BMW and collided with the vehicle, then crossed into the westbound lane, went over a snowbank and crashed into a tree.

Suokko reported that “speed and roadway conditions were contributing factors to the crash” and that no injuries were reported. The BMW was driven from the scene with minor damage.

Suokko said, “The recovery [of the Jaguar] required waiting for an additional wrecker due to the steep grade of the hill and the slippery road conditions,” but the Jaguar was eventually removed from the scene.
