Nearly 400 people attended the annual Greater Keene & Peterborough Chamber of Commerce gala March 16 at the Keene State Zorn Dining Center. During the event, chamber board Chair Tim Pipp announced the rebranding of the chamber and its new name, Greater Monadnock Collaborative: Regional Chamber of Commerce.

"We celebrated the amazing organizations, businesses and people that make this Monadnock region thrive and then we made sure to leave everyone talking at the end!" stated Luca Paris, president and CEO of the chamber.

The chamber presented the Windsor Brooks Business of the Year to Yankee Publishing Inc., located in Dublin. Susan Chollet of Peterborough received the Citizen of the Year award, and the new Ken Jue Nonprofit Organization of the Year award went to the Colonial Theatre in downtown Keene.

Ken Jue, the former CEO of Monadnock Family Services who died in May, was remembered as a tireless supporter of our community and mental health services.

Nimble Arts, from Brattleboro, Vt., provided the entertainment with their circus-like walk act. A video presentation at the end of the evening asked attendees "What is the Monadnock region?"

"It is an exciting moment for us as an organization and as a collaborative. We look to create new partnerships with organizations and businesses for the benefit of the community," stated Paris.
