PETERBOROUGHLibrary doc, talk

The Great Museums documentary ”Volumes to Speak: The Library of Congress" will be shown at Peterborough Community Theatre on Monday, April 17, at 6:30 p.m., followed by a post-screening discussion with Corinne Chronopolous, Library Director, Peterborough Town Library. Admission is $9 per person.

Established in 1800 as a small research library, today’s Library of Congress is considered the repository of the nation’s life story and arguably the “ultimate American museum.”

Founded in 1833, the Peterborough Town Library is the first tax-supported public library in the United States. Library Director, Corinne Chronopoulos, will discuss the history or our Town Library as well as the exciting plans underway for the renovation of the building.
