The ConVal boys’ Alpine ski team finished second in a giant slalom at Crotched Mountain Friday.

Garret Rousseau led the Cougars, finishing fifth overall with a time of 1 minute, 12.26 seconds over the two runs. Ben Fraley was close behind, finishing sixth in 1:12.76. Cole Dexter (14th, 1:16.5) and Logan Montano (17th, 1:18.68) completed the scoring for ConVal.

Other ConVal finishers were Gavin Niemela (19th,  1:19.97), Jake Alonso (24th, 1:23.31), Harlan Bielagus (30th, 1:35.39) and Remy Kekuewa-Colon (33rd, 1:49.71.)

ConVal’s girls finished fourth, led by Jennifer Hopkins’ fourth-place finish in 1:16.17. Lucy Jackson was 14th in 1:24.58, while Izzy Jobin was 17th in 1:28.69 and Eliza Bull 21st in 1:30.70 to round out ConVal’s scoring.

Other ConVal finishers were Campbell Maggs (23rd, 1:36.15), Maisie Michaud (29th, 1:39.61), Merrit Kotula (31st, 1:40.8) and Mauve Finn (33rd, 1:54.51).

INDOOR TRACKTelofski takes fifth at UNH

ConVal’s Maxx Telofski finished fifth in the shot put with a personal-best throw of 40-feet, 1/2-inch in a qualifier meet at UNH on Saturday afternoon.

Whitney Adair finished 11th in the 600m run with a time of 1:55.62. 

On Jan. 13 at Plymouth State, senior Jamie Post set personal bests in four events: 8.98 in the 55-meter hurdles (met qualifying mark), 2:55.75 in the 1,000 meters (met qualifying mark), 17-feet, 9 inches in the long jump and 42.87 in the 300 meters.
