When the Bentley University women’s basketball team takes the court at Franklin Pierce University on Wednesday, at least one visiting player will have a personal cheering section.

Conant graduate Maddy Springfield will return home for the first of two meetings between the Northeast-10 Conference foes.

So far this year, Springfield has started all six games for the undefeated Falcons, who are ranked in the top 10 of the NCAA Division II polls. She is playing 23 minutes and averaging 6.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game, scoring a season-high 13 on Nov. 17.

Last season, her first at Bentley after playing a year at Holy Cross, Springfield scored a season-high eight points versus Franklin Pierce and also had eight assists against the Ravens.

During her three years at Conant, Springfield was named Miss New Hampshire Basketball and New Hampshire Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior. She helped lead Conant to the 2015 Division III state championship and was a 1,000-point scorer.
