The Mascenic girls’ basketball team got a rare taste of the postseason Tuesday night, but just a taste, as the Vikings were eliminated at Colebrook in the first round of the NHIAA Division IV playoffs, 59-36.

“They are just a little too good for us,” said head coach Kevin Rines. “I suppose on a really good day at home we might contest them, but tough up there.”

Senior Jordyn Babin ended her career with a team-high 16 points. Shelby Babin added six points and Julianna Tucci five.

Colebrook had two players in double figures; Samantha Howell had a game-high 19 and Sage Smith scored 14.

Mascenic finished the regular season at 10-8 and made their first playoff appearance since 2013, seeded 12th. Colebrook was the 5th seed.
