MASCENIC Spring concert is next Thursday

The Mascenic High School Music Department will put on its end of semester spring concert on May 19, at 7 p.m. in the Mascenic auditorium. The band will perform works including Robert W. Smith’s “Encanto” and “The Great Locomotive Chase” and Robert Sheldon’s flashy “Sound Innovations Fanfare.” Also on the program are songs like Toto’s “Africa” and “Theme from Schindler’s List” by John Williams. The chorus will sing a song in Spanish, Stephen’s Sondheim’s “No One Is Alone”  and a surprisingly catchy arrangement of the folk song Shenandoah. Admission is free.
