Patrons get look at renovated Mason Public Library

Mason Public Library welcomed book-lovers to an open house Tuesday to see the newly renovated space.

Library Director Judy Forty shared her enthusiasm for the brightened walls and open floor plan.

“The new book carts can be rolled out of the way,” she said. “This way, we’ll have space to put tables up, host presentations, and hold our functions.”

Renovations also included new vinyl flooring replacing the carpet, painting the walls and redoing the stairs between the adult and children’s levels.

Former Library Director Denise Ginzler noted that there hadn’t been updates to the library in 37 years, and was thrilled about the makeover. 

“It’s incredible what new paint, trim, flooring and book storage can do,” she said.
