Eleanor McQueen recently became the fourth “superager” to be gifted a flight around the Monadnock area.

Harvey and Lee Sawyer of the Silver Ranch Air Park in Jaffrey have been providing senior citizens in the 97-to-100 age bracket with plane trips around Mount Monadnock and beyond. McQueen , a member of Monadnock at Home and former chair of the Jaffrey Civic Center, lives alone, but extends her outreach via rides on the ground with the Community Volunteer Transportation Company.

After the trip up to 3,500 feet she said that this was a new glimpse of the area she loved, and was “steady, calm and ending with a beautiful sunset.”
