The Hancock Woman’s Club has awarded Meghan Bedard of Hancock the 2023 Anonymous Donor Scholarship.

Bedard is continuing her training to become a registered nurse with a hope of becoming an emergency room nurse. She is an AEMT and volunteer firefighter on the Hancock Fire Department, and is attending the Saint Joseph School of Nursing LPN to ASN program. She has been on the dean’s list in previous semesters.

The Hancock Woman’s Club Scholarship Program is an annual program open to adult women in mid-career or who are beginning the process of changing or returning to a career. Applicants must have been residents of Hancock for at least two years.

The scholarship program has been funded by anonymous donations, memorial fund donations like the Caitlin Mullin Gift, fundraisers that are run throughout the year by the club and other individual donations.
