The Monadnock Center for History and Culture, 19 Grove St. in Peterborough, will host a Lunch & Learn program Thursday, March 20, on the flood of March 1936.

The program will explore how heavy snowfall, sudden warm temperatures and tropical rains led to widespread flooding that reshaped Peterborough and the region.

Lunch & Learn begins at noon with a meal of wrap sandwiches, salad, chips, a pickle and dessert, followed by an illustrated talk. Tickets are $20 or $17 for Monadnock Center members and must be purchased in advance. Tickets will not be available at the door.

For tickets and information, visit monadnockcenter.org.
