The Monadnock Conservancy, a land trust for southwestern New Hampshire, hosts its 33rd annual celebration at the Dublin Tap Room & Eatery at the Shattuck Golf Course, 53 Dublin Road in Jaffrey, Saturday, Sept. 10, from 9 to 11 a.m.
The theme this year is “Conservation in a Changing Climate,” and the event will include updates on current projects, announcement of 2022 conservation award winners and remarks from the Executive Director Ryan Owens.
Mara Hoplamazian, New Hampshire Public Radio’s climate reporter, is the featured speaker. Hoplamazian reports on climate change, energy and the environment for NHPR as part of its By Degrees initiative. As part of “Watching the Climate Change: A Reporter’s Notebook,” Hoplamazian will share personal stories of bearing witness to the changing climate through the eyes of people experiencing it, exploring the transitions Granite Staters are facing and how they balance realities with hope.
The celebration opens with a coffee reception and registration from 9 to 9:30 a.m., followed by the program at 9:30 a.m.
The event is free and open to all, but advance registration is requested. Register by noon on Friday, Sept. 9, at monadnockconservancy.org/news/event/33rd-annual-celebration.
